5 Important Business Insights To Learn From 2020

5 Important Business Insights To Learn From 2020

5 Important Business Insights To Learn From 2020. 2020 is arguably one of the most challenging times in recent history. What started as a normal year for all of us suddenly turned out to be a nightmare.

No one expected that during this year we will be faced with a global pandemic, lockdowns, pivots, etc. However, human beings and business owners in particular saw these as learning experiences that will help them improve their business.

In this article, we will discuss 5 valuable insights that we have learned from the past year.

The safety of everyone is important. Before 2020 happened, employee safety was viewed as something that you should have but doesn’t actually need on a daily basis. Much like fire extinguishers and smoke alarms.

But 2020 showed us that it’s important to invest in the safety of your employees. Every business should have a budget and contingency plan allotted for the welfare of their staff.

Some steps you can take: Enroll in healthcare plans, provide vitamins and supplements, have a sanitation station in key areas of your establishment.

Invest in your social media presence. During those times that almost all countries are on lockdown, most businesses saw the importance of a solid social media presence since all transactions are being carried out online.

This is an opportunity for those who see through difficult times and are ready to act at the right moment. Investing in a solid social media marketing team and increasing your advertising budget will benefit your business in the long run that may result in increased market share.

Everything changes and nothing remains the same. One of the most important lessons 2020 taught us is that nothing stays the same. Pandemic or not, we should always be open about change since it’s the only thing that’s constant in this world. Instead of relying on what worked in the past, adopt a mindset that is flexible and prepared for any circumstance or crisis.

By expecting change, we can prepare the steps we will take and avoid being paralyzed when something unexpected actually happens. You should embrace innovation and include it in your business model.

Make relationships your number one priority. Regardless of the size of your company, the relationships you have with your customers, employees, and suppliers are everything.

During a crisis like a pandemic, customers, employees, and suppliers are going to value a trusted relationship more than ever.

Without maintaining solid relationships, your business has nothing to build on and no real foundation for the future. If your business has not developed trusted partnerships prior to a health or business emergency like a pandemic, you may find it’s too late to start once the emergency has already occurred.

Make exceptional customer experience your primary priority. Now more than ever, it’s important to put your customers at the center of everything you do. YOu should make sure that your customers always have a great experience whenever they go to your establishment.

5 Important Business Insights To Learn From 2020. Simple things like asking your customers what they want, what will add value to their lives, and communicating with them will definitely add value to their experience.

For businesses serving the health and wellness industry, even small steps like providing hot towels to your customers while waiting for treatment will be greatly appreciated. Hot towels are known to provide warmth and comfort to everyone aside from keeping our hands clean after eating.

If you’re looking for high-quality hot towels and wipes, you can check out Oshiklenz here. We also have warmers and chillers as well as package deals that will give more value for your money.

Building Loyal Customers

Building Loyal Customers, in the wake of the new normal where nearly every business is on social media, customer loyalty has taken on new meaning. It’s now easier for customers to switch brands or try alternatives, how can your business ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty?

This article will give you tips and explore how you can maintain customer satisfaction and turn everyone who’s done business with you into loyal customers.

Understanding your customers. Before you can even think about how you can turn your customers into brand ambassadors, it’s important to understand the consumer mindset.

As a business, you must be familiar with what’s going on in their minds and how that affects their decision-making. Always remember that customers buy with emotion and justify them with logic.

This requires a rich understanding of consumer psychology and a change in the organizational mindset that puts customers at its core.

Make customers a part of your company’s mission. Consumers nowadays are becoming more socially responsible especially in light of the pandemic.

You should provide opportunities for your customers to become part of your mission through charitable donations and actions they can take to do their part.

Adopt a customer-centric culture. Having a customer-centric culture means you make customers the focal point when making decisions.

Businesses that choose to adopt this culture live and breathe their customers and are laser-focused on providing amazing customer experiences.

Build a relationship with your customers. Customers are more likely to be loyal if they feel valued. Some simple yet impactful steps you can take are: Sending messages on their birthday and personalized emails.

It’s also important to be transparent with your customers about your business. Are you currently undergoing some problems? Let them know. Did you just make some changes in leadership? Send a personalized announcement to your customers so they can feel they are valued.

Encourage customer feedback. In addition to having an excellent relationship with your customers, another way to make them loyal to your business is by encouraging customer reviews.

Of course, you also need to do your part by providing a great customer experience every single time. Make sure anyone who faces customers is paying attention to their needs.

Provide personalized service. Personalize all communications with your customers be it through emails, telephone, and in person.

You can also give high-value customers more perks like giving each of them a named account manager. Another simple step you can do is to provide personal sanitation products that are available for all your customers.

If you own a salon, clinic, or restaurant you can put hot wet towels strategically in your establishment. This can be used not only for cleaning their hands but also to relieve some tension and refresh your customers.

Here at Oshiklenz, we are always open to having a chat if you’re looking for suppliers for your business. We have flexible terms and automatic ordering systems so you won’t need to call us every time you run out of hot towels. You can reach us here.

Key Benefits of Listening To Your Customers

Key Benefits of Listening To Your Customers

Key Benefits of Listening To Your Customers.

Many businesses are scared of customer reviews and feedback that they sometimes resort to disabling them in their social media pages altogether. Not realizing how beneficial it is to their business.

In case you haven’t noticed, these days customers have a voice louder than ever. In this article, we will discuss the key benefits of listening to your customers and how they can help your business.

Customer feedback can help you improve your product or service.

Listening to your customers through their feedback can be a great source of learning. Especially if this feedback is coming from customers who are not too happy with your product.

At the onset, this sounds contradictory but when you think about it. This type of feedback can give you valuable insight that will allow you to fill the gap between their expectations and what a company is able to deliver.

Customer reviews can help you understand what customers want, then reply to make them feel that you are listening.

Customers are your best testers.

No matter how many rigorous and complicated tests you do, your customers will always find some creative way to find loopholes in your product or service. So in a way, customers are your best beta testers.

This is the main reason why businesses invest in sample products, prototypes, and early access products. This gives them actual results they can work on at the same time learn surprising details about their products, services, and business overall.

Listening to your customers increases their spending.

It’s quite simple, really. If you keep making your customers happy, they will buy more. And what makes them happy in addition to great service and overall customer experience is the feeling of being heard. You can show them that you value their feedback by listening and replying when they mention you on social media.

Listening to your customers can help fine-tune your brand voice.

Listening to customer feedback keeps you informed whether customers are happy (or not) with your product or service. If they don’t believe that you make an effort to try to understand them. They may start looking for new businesses to engage with.

Customer feedback can also help in creating your brand voice since they are the ones you are talking to in your social media and other marketing collaterals. Meaning, they can tell if your brand voice is relatable or not.

Listening to your customers can help in building a relationship.

When a customer reaches out with a concern, your job is to get to the bottom of their issue.

You can do this by asking questions and trying to understand their needs and what caused the issue. This kind of approach, instead of insisting on one resolution that you think is best will benefit your business in the end.

Once a customer feels that you empathize with them and their emotions, they will become loyal brand ambassadors. This increases customer lifetime value.

For this reason, Oshiklenz has spent lots of time with their customers, in their businesses really seeing how the customer interacts with our range of products.

Beauty salons and day spas have different requirements to restaurants, gyms or dentists, etc. So it has been important to us as Oshiklenz to listen to our customers and alter our products and packaging to suit our client’s needs. Sometimes it’s about scent, sometimes they are looking for an environmental solution or a way to heat or chill their towels.

We became the leading hot towel provider in Australia, by listening to our clients and adjusting to the needs of their businesses.

Remember, happy customers, spread through word of mouth about the good experience they get from your establishment. They are more likely to talk about it with their friends and family in person or through social media.

First Class on a Budget

First Class on a Budget

When you say ‘First Class’ people instantly think of luxury and the highest class offered by a business. In airlines, flying first class translates to reclining seats with more legroom, workstation, TV surrounded by privacy dividers, unlimited refreshments, and a lot of other extras.

However, you can also offer first-class services to your customers without the need for premium rates. This article will discuss how you can provide the first-class service on a budget.

Customers are the lifeblood of any business so treating them well should always be on top of your priorities. When your business regularly exceeds expectations, this can boost customer satisfaction and retention.

Excellent first-class service should start at the enquiry stage and be maintained throughout the entire customer experience. The benefits will be substantial – boosting your reputation leading to customer referrals.

Hire the right people. You may think that this is self-explanatory and need no further elaboration, but a lot of businesses are way too careless in their hiring processes.

It’s important to think about who you’re bringing into the team. They are the ones who constantly deal with your customers and give a face to your business. Needless to say, hiring the right people can make or break your business.

Personalized service. Another way to make your customers feel extra special is personalization. Get to know your customers and develop relationships with them.

Show them you care about them and their experience at your establishment. Ask about their feedback with a promise that you’re doing your best in order to deliver the best service possible.

If a customer sets an appointment and fails to show up, instead of feeling disappointed, call them to know the reason and offer to reschedule without additional fees.

Keep your establishment fresh. Aside from updating your establishment on a regular basis so it remains cutting edge and modern, you must also maintain cleanliness at all times. Especially during these times, it’s essential to have a sanitized environment.

By investing in new equipment whenever you can and keeping the whole place clean, it shows your customers that you are dedicated to keeping their experience top-notch.

Find ways to provide complimentary customer extras. In order to convert your customers to loyal fans and ambassadors, you must provide as much value for their money as possible.

Make a list of little complimentary items you can offer that doesn’t cost much but will be appreciated by your customers. Consider providing a sanitation station with alcohol and hand sanitizers, have a pitcher of cucumber and lemon water always available.

Another great way to provide the first-class service on a budget is providing hot towels to your customers especially if you are operating a restaurant, spa, or dental clinic.

This is where Oshiklenz comes in. We provide a wide array of hot towels, sanitation wipes, towel warmers and chillers and so much more! We can also arrange special considerations for your business in line with the pandemic.

Beyond Personal Hygiene

Good personal hygiene involves keeping all parts of the external body clean and healthy. It’s always viewed as one of the most important human aspects we need to maintain and these days it may even be key to our survival.

This article will explain why personal hygiene is important for maintaining both physical and mental health and what lies beyond personal hygiene.

In people with poor personal hygiene, the body provides an ideal environment for germs and viruses to grow and thrive leaving us vulnerable to disease.

In a social and emotional context, people may avoid a person with poor personal hygiene, which may result in isolation and loneliness. Also, in this time that a pandemic is upon us, it’s not enough to just practice personal hygiene. We must also religiously follow safety protocols for our own protection as well as those close to us.

This is because good personal hygiene goes beyond smelling nice and looking clean; proper hygiene also prevents the spread of germs and viruses that lead to respiratory ailments like Covid 19.

Let’s talk about different personal hygiene practices and how to do them effectively.

Dental hygiene. For a healthy mouth and smile, it’s recommended to brush the teeth for 2 minutes at least twice a day – once before breakfast and once before bed.

Handwashing. The importance of handwashing cannot be downplayed especially now that we are in the middle of a pandemic. Regular hand washing is one of the best ways to avoid spreading viruses.

In washing our hands, always make sure that we use soap and not just run our hands under running water. Here is an outline of five simple steps for effective handwashing:

  1. Wet the hands with clean, running water, then turn off the tap and apply soap.
  2. Lather the hands by rubbing them together with the soap, remembering to reach the backs of the hands, between the fingers, and under the nails.
  3. Scrub the hands for at least 20 seconds, which person can time by humming the “Happy Birthday” song twice.
  4. Rinse the hands well under clean, running water.
  5. Dry the hands using a clean towel or air dry them.

It is also recommended that we wash our hands at certain times:

  • Before, during, and after preparing food
  • Before and after eating
  • Before and after treating a cut or wound.
  • After going to the bathroom
  • After blowing the nose, coughing, or sneezing
  • After touching garbage or dirty surfaces or objects
  • After handling pets or pet-related items.

However, we may not have access to clean running water all the time especially if we are out in public. During these instances, it’s helpful to maintain a stock of wet towels in your bag and also in your establishment. Hot wet towels not only offer instant sanitation in the absence of soap and water, it can also provide warmth and comfort on the go.

If you’re looking for a supplier for your business or personal use, you can contact us here. We also offer special services for your convenience so you won’t need to order every time you run out of supplies.

Why Small Things Matter in Business

Why Small Things Matter in Business

It’s always easy to overlook the small things thinking that they won’t matter in the bigger picture. However, this cannot be farther from the truth and this article will explore the tiny things that really matter in business.

This also brings to mind the proverb that tells about how a tiny nail was lost in a horseshoe. Which led to the loss of a horse. The loss of the horse resulted in the loss of the rider, which then led to the loss of a battle. Because of the loss of this important battle, the kingdom was lost. This is a very good analogy for understanding how a very tiny shift in behaviour or activity can turn a small action into a monumental event over time. Why Small Things Matter in Business.

Each action, even a small one causes a chain reaction. If a particular action hurts your business, then the organization is weakened. On the other hand, actions that strengthen your organization help your company to reach new heights. Your business may be reliant on these small actions to make the shift from a mediocre workplace that’s barely surviving to a thriving organization.

Business owners, managers, entrepreneurs, and even employees are often so preoccupied with the bigger picture. In that, they overlook the small things essential in running a business. Unfortunately, this can be a costly mistake. Cliche as it may sound, it’s true when they say, “the devil is in the detail,”. And any business which doesn’t pay attention to detail is destined to face a major bump in the long-run.

If you’re new to the game or is already a veteran in running businesses, you’ll want to take the “small things” into account. Whilst they may not be that important from a managerial viewpoint. They can have a considerable impact on clients, customers, and employees.

To make sure that you’re handling everything efficiently. Let’s take a look at some of the small things that are often overlooked in business.

Recognizing outstanding employees. It doesn’t matter whether you have 10 or 10,000 employees, it’s important to recognize the contribution they give to your business. Especially the ones who are going above and beyond what’s expected from them.

This makes them realize that the company appreciates all their work and effort. This can come in the form of remuneration, bonuses, and financial incentives, it can also be as simple as thanking them personally or highlighting their achievements during company meetings.

Creating a supportive work culture.  Most employees prefer to work for smaller teams because it’s perceived to be a more supportive working environment.

In reality, it’s not always possible to change the size of your team. Fortunately, it doesn’t matter how big your team is. You can still create a supportive working culture where everyone. Feels valued and able to share ideas, knowledge and exchange odd jokes with each other.

Cleanliness. Keeping your working environment clean may seem obvious, but many business owners and managers don’t realize the value of office cleaning. This also includes making the workplace more harmonious, commissioning professional retail cleaning, and providing sanitation supplies for your employees and customers.

One easy and effective way to keep your employees and customers clean is by providing hot towels regularly. Aside from safety, they also provide comfort and warmth.

You can contact us anytime and our representatives will be more than willing to assist you.

The Importance of Hygiene In Your Business

It’s no doubt that hygiene and sanitation are two of the most important factors in your business. Especially now that we are undergoing a worldwide pandemic due to Covid 19. Hygiene is something that business owners should always prioritize since failure to do so poses health hazards.

This article will discuss 5 points why hygiene is an essential part of your business’ day to day existence.

  1. Your customers will appreciate it. Since we are still under a pandemic, simple yet essential steps should be taken to keep your establishment hygienic. This is not only for the benefit of your employees but more importantly, for your customers.

Once they notice that you practice all safety and hygiene guidelines. Like providing a sanitation station, QR sign-ins, regular disinfection of your space, among others they will surely keep your business on the top of their list. This will not only keep your loyal customers – it will also help you make new ones.

  1. Keep your employees safe and happy. Happy and content employees provide the highest level of work and they are more driven to do their jobs well. A neat and clean work environment can greatly influence employee satisfaction and will also put their mind at ease.

Some measures you can practice in your  own workplace are the following:

  • Regular disinfection of common areas, floors, windows, doorknobs.
  • Keep a sanitation station exclusive for employees complete with alcohol wipes, soap, facemasks, and their own stocks of germ busting antibacterial wipes
  • Scent the rooms with natural air fresheners in regular intervals.
  1. You will keep everyone safe. By keeping your establishment hygienic and regularly sanitized, you will keep viruses and bacteria at bay. This means everyone who will visit your place will be safe and the probability of catching C-19  will be zero.

This also means more customers will be confident to visit your establishment and your employees can do their job well because their minds will always be at ease.

  1. You will always be ready for safety inspections. If there’s already a regular sanitation schedule in your establishment, you will never be caught off guard by government departments who regularly conduct health and safety checks.

This will save you time that you can instead use to service your customers.

  1. You will be popular with your customers. News spread fast. When more and more people visit your establishment and they see how you give importance to hygiene, they will surely tell it to their friends and family. And through word of mouth, you will be popular and will gain new loyal customers despite the pandemic.

We hope you find these tips useful especially if you’re running a business in the hospitality and wellness industry like spas, clinics, and restaurants. If you’re looking for extra steps to take in order to maintain a strict hygiene protocol, you can check out our hot towel packages.

Are Your Hands Clean or Sanitised

Are Your Hands Clean or Sanitised? We are now living in extraordinary times and during this pandemic, it’s much more important to maintain cleanliness. Especially our hands, since we use them almost all the time so they are the most susceptible to dirt and germs.

Are Your Hands Clean or Sanitised? Everyone right now has alcohol and sanitizers in their bags ready to disinfect their hands. However, the question remains: “Are hand sanitizers enough to clean our hands?”

The short answer is NO. Hand sanitisers can be used when there is no readily available soap and water. However, they are not a replacement for our old reliable soap and water, and here’s why:

They are not effective if organic matter (dirt, food, or other material) is visible or if your hands are heavily soiled or greasy. Sanitisers also may not be able to remove chemicals like pesticides and heavy metals which may pose a great danger to our health especially if we’re going to eat.

Daily hand sanitiser use can be harmful. Since people have been using hand sanitisers on a daily basis, sometimes multiple times a day, it’s decided that companies making hand sanitizers need to provide proof that the chemicals in their products are safe for that level of exposure, especially for pregnant women and children.

There are also concerns that using antibacterial hand sanitisers – like those that include bacteria-killing chemicals like triclosan – can contribute to antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Needless to say, hand sanitisers have their place and can be used temporarily when there are no soap and water available. But still, the best way to keep your hands clean is by washing with soap and water.

Are Your Hands Clean or Sanitised? Even though handwashing can sound like a basic task, there actually is a correct way to do it. Here are some tips to remember:

  1. Always use clean, running water. Wet your hands.
  2. Get the soap and rub it in your hands forming a thick lather. Make sure to rub your palms, back of your hands, between your fingers, and under your fingernails.
  3. Take your time and wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. To keep it light, you can sing “Happy Birthday” twice.
  4. Rinse your hands well with running water.
  5. Dry your hands using a clean towel or paper towel. You can also air dry them if there are no towels available. Always remember not to rub them on your clothes. You should also be careful in using hand dryers in public restrooms since they contain more germs than you would think.
  6. In turning off the tap, you can use a paper towel or your elbow.

Alternatively, you can also use wet wipes or wet towels instead of hand sanitisers. They are certainly more effective since you can rub off the debris from your hand using wet towels. Check out these products if you’re looking for the next best thing to soap and water.

Aside from personal consumption, you can also make them readily available in your business establishments especially if you own spas, clinics, and restaurants. It’s a welcome addition to your services that your customers will definitely love.
